For its 26th year, Columbia Pike will host its largest Blues Festival since 1995. The Columbia Pike Blue Festival<\/a><\/a> is a free outdoor music event where thousands of people come together in South Arlington. From live blues, jazz, and bluegrass music, to family-friendly activities, to craft beer and wine, and local vendors, you’ll find something for everyone. The Palatine Apartments residents, you are officially invited to “Arlington’s best block party.”<\/b><\/p>\n This year, vocalist and guitarist Judith Hill will be headlining on Saturday, June 17th (1 pm – 8:30 pm). Featured in Oscar and Grammy award-winning documentary “20 Feet from Stardom” the blues musician considers her career a family affair with her parents as members of her backup band. The music doesn't stop there, other blue, R&B, and funk performers include Annika Chambers & Paul DesLauriers, Bobby Thompson, Gayle Harrod Band, and Spice Cake Blues. <\/b><\/p>\n The festival is also a great place to try a variety of food from local restaurants and food trucks.
